warped tour 2007

We borrowed someone's car, and we drove up to the Gorge in Washington for our first date on Warped Tour.
We headed out sometime in the afternoon after cramming everything into the small car. We packed our own tent, a dinky little cart, a cooler, our info, and a banner, and a foldable table or two. We crashed in Portland and left early at four in the morning the next day. The drive to the Gorge was tedious being the only legal driver in the car. Driving in the area while watching the sun rise was a beautiful thing. We drove and drove and drove. We got there and headed in and set up near the Hurley Stage. We were right next to the Monster Energy Drink area and our non profit neighbor was To Write Love on Her Arms, which is an amazing organization.

We set up, utilized some duct tape on our tent, borrowed a table , and set up. A lot of people just came by to see if we were giving out any free stickers. I think people love stickers a lot! I liked the set up a lot because we had a view of the stage which was right next to another stage , but I can't recall the name of that one... anyways! We got to watch a great variety right from our booth... POS, All Time Low, Big D and The Kids Table, Meg and Dia, and more! The Gorge is one of the most beautiful venues ever. It is probably one of my favorite, but I'm a huge fan of the NW venues.

One of my favorite warped performances would be Street Drum Corps who played every day under the Skullcandy Tent at 4:20.

We also took a break and went up front to watch Meg and Dia

After a long day of work in the nice weather we loaded our stuff back up and headed to Portland.
The drive back was long , and I took a weird route which was a very small road with lots of cars on it, it was raining like crazy, and I ended up getting lost and driving all the way to Astoria at 4 in the morning, if you know Oregon, you know that this is the opposite direction of the next venue. Finally get to our creepy hotel in St. Helens and crash for a couple hours.

Then we wake up for Portland Warped Tour!
We set up under the main Warped Tour Non-Profit Tent for the day and watched a couple of bands, talked to people, helped take surveys from the line.

I went and saw the Street Drum Corps again because they were so fun to watch!

I also saw Escape the Fate and Chiodos.

First Show/Production Ever

March 2007

Mad@Meth Crew and The Roe

This was the beginning of Mad@Meth. It started as a school project and has evolved into so much more. We started with a benefit concert at the Jacoby Auditorium in Roseburg, Oregon. We had a wide range of artists, and of course pre-production issues like nobody's business.

Upon Beauty Rests

Upon Beauty Rests put on a great show despite the weird set up of the stage and the prolonged wait to play to the kids that came out.

The Pre-Show Show!

The pre-show show was a little outdoor thing we did to get some more people interested. We basically set up on the side of the road [with permission from city hall and Rodeo Steakhouse] and played a little free show with The Sharktopus and some other local bands. We had Rockstar Energy Drink come out and sponsor us, and before the show the Mad@Meth crew went around to different schools, parks, and public places handing out free Rockstar energy drinks and fliers!

Look at all those free rockstars! We went everywhere, and I got to sit in the back of the truck rubber banding fliers to rockstars!

Local Businesses endorsed us and helped us spread the word all around town which was awesome

Warped Tour 2008

Portland, Or

Well we got pulled over about a mile before the venue, we could actually see the signs. Sigh. Why oh why are St. Helens cops so nice? Every year they flock like vultures to prey on the oncoming kids who don't slam their breaks on to get from 55 to 35 mph.

Anyways we get to the venue, have some issues with parking, and mob through a lovely Oregon field. I love Oregon. I just wish the field was all green grass and I'd probably be peachy. I love the Oregon date at Warped Tour because it's not like California's dates! You can't see the haze coming up from the pavement when it's 100 degrees out. You don't see kids going by on stretchers and wheelchairs from the heat. Anyways we get there and set up our own booth this time. We set up next to Rock For Health which I love, and think you all need to go check out. To Write Love on Her Arms which everyone loves, and the other local non profit organizations. We set up our spread quite nicely. Had a cooler full of drinks and ice! The day started out great we passed out a bunch of stickers as you can see by the photos.

San Francisco , Ca

Well after a lovely sleep in a van, a freezing cold van, because they must have had all the windows down to stay awake for the long drive. I woke up and we were in San Fran trying to find the pier. The piers are set up weird and they don't go in order. There is one set of even piers and then the odd piers. We finally found the Venue .....well we found the parking lot for all the buses and vans. It was incredibly far away from the actual venue. So we parked and I started to get ready, and I took the long trek to go meet my contact. So within the time that I do that, walk back to the van, wait a while for my volunteer to show up, pack up the stuff to take inside to the tent, we get there and well there is no more space available for us. Awesome, but that's okay , but seriously! that's how huge the trek was. I am pretty sure I passed Vic from Pierce The Veil about 40 times just going back and forth to the buses/ loading in. So we took our stuff back to the van, and then we passed out some stickers. It was also 100 degrees here, which is not normal for San Francisco and the venue was all asphalt and had different sections with only a couple sets of stairs that got incredibly jam packed with traffic. We made do. =]

Pomona, Ca

First day of Warped Tour! Pomona kick off. It was about 110 degrees and there was a lot of asphalt. I flew down to Ontario the night before, and after having the most ridiculous time making my flights and rescheduling flights, I made it at midnight. Someone from No Bragging Rights picked me up. Since I'd be traveling with them for West Coast Dates for Warped Tour. I had some issues with finding volunteers but I definitely won when I found Pomona volunteers. We we're on the road later than expected after loading up the van and trailer so I had to have my volunteers go claim our space and get our passes for the day. They did great. I mainly stayed in my tent area. I visited my friend working The Street Network because she had a backpack mister! Awesome! I bought a snow cone and it was the best 6 dollars ever. I walked around the grounds once in a while, I caught some of The Devil Wears Prada set, and they always deliver such a powerful show and have total command over the audience despite the scorching sun, lack of water, sunscreen, and hot sweaty pit. After I packed up around 6pm I helped No Bragging Rights sell waters and sodas. We then hung out for a while and loaded up and hit the road again for a long night..

Hey Let's try this!

I'm going to be updating the site with media and content from shows/ events/ etc.
