Warped Tour 2008
Portland, Or
Well we got pulled over about a mile before the venue, we could actually see the signs. Sigh. Why oh why are St. Helens cops so nice? Every year they flock like vultures to prey on the oncoming kids who don't slam their breaks on to get from 55 to 35 mph.
Anyways we get to the venue, have some issues with parking, and mob through a lovely Oregon field. I love Oregon. I just wish the field was all green grass and I'd probably be peachy. I love the Oregon date at Warped Tour because it's not like California's dates! You can't see the haze coming up from the pavement when it's 100 degrees out. You don't see kids going by on stretchers and wheelchairs from the heat. Anyways we get there and set up our own booth this time. We set up next to Rock For Health which I love, and think you all need to go check out. To Write Love on Her Arms which everyone loves, and the other local non profit organizations. We set up our spread quite nicely. Had a cooler full of drinks and ice! The day started out great we passed out a bunch of stickers as you can see by the photos.

San Francisco , Ca

Well after a lovely sleep in a van, a freezing cold van, because they must have had all the windows down to stay awake for the long drive. I woke up and we were in San Fran trying to find the pier. The piers are set up weird and they don't go in order. There is one set of even piers and then the odd piers. We finally found the Venue .....well we found the parking lot for all the buses and vans. It was incredibly far away from the actual venue. So we parked and I started to get ready, and I took the long trek to go meet my contact. So within the time that I do that, walk back to the van, wait a while for my volunteer to show up, pack up the stuff to take inside to the tent, we get there and well there is no more space available for us. Awesome, but that's okay , but seriously! that's how huge the trek was. I am pretty sure I passed Vic from Pierce The Veil about 40 times just going back and forth to the buses/ loading in. So we took our stuff back to the van, and then we passed out some stickers. It was also 100 degrees here, which is not normal for San Francisco and the venue was all asphalt and had different sections with only a couple sets of stairs that got incredibly jam packed with traffic. We made do. =]
Pomona, Ca

First day of Warped Tour! Pomona kick off. It was about 110 degrees and there was a lot of asphalt. I flew down to Ontario the night before, and after having the most ridiculous time making my flights and rescheduling flights, I made it at midnight. Someone from No Bragging Rights picked me up. Since I'd be traveling with them for West Coast Dates for Warped Tour. I had some issues with finding volunteers but I definitely won when I found Pomona volunteers. We we're on the road later than expected after loading up the van and trailer so I had to have my volunteers go claim our space and get our passes for the day. They did great. I mainly stayed in my tent area. I visited my friend working The Street Network because she had a backpack mister! Awesome! I bought a snow cone and it was the best 6 dollars ever. I walked around the grounds once in a while, I caught some of The Devil Wears Prada set, and they always deliver such a powerful show and have total command over the audience despite the scorching sun, lack of water, sunscreen, and hot sweaty pit. After I packed up around 6pm I helped No Bragging Rights sell waters and sodas. We then hung out for a while and loaded up and hit the road again for a long night..
